  • Supervised around 15 paid employees at a time, while also providing direction for literally hundreds of volunteers.

  • Oversaw all musical talent and theatrical presentations of organization from children's and adult chorus, orchestra, seasonal and non-seasonal concerts, musicals, and events (the Singing Christmas Tree / 11 performances / 25,000+ attendees).

WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU:

  • Lead management and design teams as needed in the creation, conceptualization, and implementation of projects and events.

  • Create experiences and engagements for guests/clients that are impactful, meaningful and unforgettable. 

  • Lead concepts for projects that include supervising and directing teams with project objectives, project vision, written thematic narrative, storyboards/mood-boards, graphic design, and other creative solutions.

  • Work with account leads and project management to ensure that project deliverables satisfy the client, go out on time and on budget, and support project goals.

AS A CREATIVE OR DESIGN DIRECTOR/PRODUCER I CAN MEET THE FOLLOWING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (AS NEEDED):

  • Support the principals in establishing overall design vision, and philosophy.

  • Provide design leadership and vision, and produce conceptual ideas.

  • Create concepts and execute design solutions.

  • Establish and help with thematic and concept creation and execution for environmental (exterior and interior) design.

  • Present concepts to clients and supporting design teams.

  • Support the coordination of projects and facilitate communications with the various project and production teams.

  • Work with key production leads/managers to ensure that the design vision is executed in a consistent and quality manner.

  • Establish and develop processes for the design teams, including defining deliverables for each stage of design and ensuring that the processes are maintained.

  • Develop thematic narrative, concept design, design development, production design, file management, project tracking and timeline management, and ensure that those processes are maintained.

  • Help recruit new designers and act as a leader in setting and nurturing the company’s culture.

  • Help establish and improve project workflow process and procedures.

  • Become involved in the local, national and international design communities.

  • Oversee/handle travel related responsibilities.

  • Maintain relationships with vendors and/or manufacturers, whether stateside or overseas.

  • Be a positive role model who thrives on a clear and compelling design message that includes inspiration, innovation and beauty, while achieving bold, creative and unforgettable finished products and experiences.
